The ability to switch between characters on the fly really makes the game more interesting and makes sure it isn't repetitive. Also, whoever did the music deserves a lot of credit, it's definitely one of my favourite parts haha. Well well well, first of this game was a very very plesant surprise I have had it on my list since I saw it, but just purchased it today. So question is, did I regret my purchase?Absolutly not, this game feels like a good mix of some of my favourite games (Zelda, Isaac and the combat feels kinda Secret of Mana'ish)Graphics: Are amazing, I mean come on pixel graphics <3Sound: Well it's there, not bad or goodMusic: I really like the music, it is pretty simple and repetetive, but it is not badGameplay: Well as I allready wrote it feels like a combination of Zelda, Isaac and to some degree Secret of Mana. Whats also awesome is the fact you can change to any of the characters whenever you feel like it, and you level them speratly of each other, so the game "forces" you to play each character to get them leveled or else they are not strong enough for the upcoming levels. You can also just focus on 1 or 2 of your characters and have fun with them, depending on which character\/characters fit your playstyle.Would I recommend this title? Yes! But, yeah there is a "butt" :P It has some bugs, but the developer\/developers are working hard on removing them, as people report them on the forums.. This game probably has pros and cons. I get nothing but a black screen, that locks up my computer to the point where either it will only be shut down through task manager, OR if it is being finicky, won't let me push anything outside of the game window, so I have to restart my computer. Pretty awesome. Definitely Early Access game, that needs more features, more immersion and a more defined game style.Edit: I fixed this problem, or rather the problem is no longer a problem. I rolled back my video driver to a driver from 2015, and now the game works as designed. The game seems pretty bare at the moment, although I do not know if that is as designed. There is a definite lack of information in regards to what leveling up does, how damage works on enemies, and a problem when you spawn, almost always seems to spawn directly on an enemy, which if you don't move immediately, you die right away. This last one is probably not 100% true, but I remember the times it has happened, as opposed to the times it did not happen, so it seems like every time. The game has a feel of an old action adventure game, but it is lacking something like items and upgrades being chosen upon leveling up. I don't think these things are planned for the game unfortunately, which means the simplistic straight-forward approach is how the game will continue going forward. This is NOT a bad thing, and some people LOVE this style of game. I prefer more complexity, even if it is being able to choose the way your characters increase in power, choose items to buy and use on your character or other hallmarks of RPG's that give the player the illusion of choice and control. I am someone who wants those options, and complexity, but neither way is correct, rather they are both different and have their pros and cons. This game IS early access though, and so it may in fact have many more features added as time goes on. I do not believe this game frustrating, and can be easily enjoyed by most people. It is priced right, depending on how long it is, and replayability. It is worth picking up, and supporting the project if you enjoy this style of game. I would say it is similar in style to Binding of Isaac, but again that game has upgrades and the like, that gives it a lot of replayability and in my opinion, really makes it more fun and more my style.. This game is really interesting! The combat system is awesome and you can definitely feel the differences between the characters\/classes (wizard ftw!). Would recommend to anyone looking to lose some time crawling through dungeons or to people that enjoy ragequitting after losing so close to the end (may or may not have attempted to smash my keyboard).. have only played for a few minutes, but so far love it. The music is sick! Gonna have to invest some time into playing more, cus so far I'm not very good. Friggen shaddow guy rofl stomped me!nice work 10\/10 would play again!. The game's concept is somewhat interesting. Super Stone Legacy brings a twist on your standard class-based 'arcadey' hack-n-slash; you get to play 6 classes at the same time but if one dies it's locked out for the rest of the run. There's a bunch of bosses and they're, honestly, quite fun to fight. I had a blast unlocking all of the bosses 'no damage dealt' achievements. The classes are 'varied', but totally unbalanced. You'll notice that some classes are pretty useful while others are completely obsolete. The difference between the damage dealt by your hold attack vs main attacks is kind of dumb, you'll never switch as one is always better. It's kind of a let down. There is an Upgrade\/Shop system where you can purchase stats. I could barely see any difference at all and the whole system could have been stripped, but that's purely based on the terrible execution. I can see why it would fit in the game loop as if you invest a lot in a character and it dies, you get punished, rewarding risk. The 'dungeon' areas, are terribly boring and require no skill at all. They keep getting larger as you progress, amplifying the mind boggling nonsense. The worst part is that I kept getting playthroughs where monsters would get stuck in\/beyond walls, forcing me to abandon my run. The chance of this issue kept increasing as I got closer to the final boss.If it wasn't for the frustrating technical issue where monsters get stuck in walls, I would have recommended you to get this game on sale.TLDR: Game is not so bad, but monsters glitch behind walls and force you to abandon runs.. I thought this game deserved another review from an inconspicuous source. Super Stone Legacy is a fun hybrid of Rogue-lite\/Dungeon Crawl\/Hack and Slash styles that should please any fans of similar games. It is immediately easy to grasp the feel of the characters (I got to level 5-3 on my first shot) and the controls are intuitive. The graphics and gameplay have a nice retro feel and it's fun to encounter new bosses and enemies as you progress further into the game. This is one of the better, more arcadey style of games in this genre currently on steam.. This game is FUN.When first starting the game, if using an controller, use the mouse on the main menu first, and keep using it until the character select screen. Once in the game, it brings back old school memories and you. will. die.Good luck!. I can honestly say that this game is very fun. It's in early access, so it has a couple of things that are 2% bothersome, and 98% killer. If you're a fan of games that are NES hard, or simply looking for a new challenge, I'd give this a spin. First game that came to mind for me was Contra, because of how great it feels to simply progress without dying, and how infuriated you get when you fail. The leveling up is intuitive, fair, and a cool addition to an overhead hack 'n' slash. It's simple to pick up but it seems like it'll curve quite well to being mastered. Additionally, it's a quick game to get into and get out of, but I could sit for hours playing it. For 10 bucks, it's an EZPZ, good value game with a very involved developer that is really working to make it perfect as quickly as possible.Give it a go guys and gals, you seriously won't be disappointed.. good game !
